I would suggest you to try the steps mentioned below.
Method 1: Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter
Method 2: Uninstall the driver for the headset and then try re-installing it
a.Click 'Start'
b.Right click 'Computer' and select 'Properties'
c.On the left of the new window select 'Advanced System Settings'

d.At the bottom of this screen select 'Environment Variables'
There will be two boxes, one at the top and the other at the bottom, below the top box select 'New'
e.Use the following details:
Variable Name: devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices
Variable Value: 1

f.Select 'OK' until all the windows are closed.
g.Select 'Start' and type 'Device Manager', then hit enter
h.Select 'View' from the top menu and then 'Show Hidden Devices'
You will now be able to right click the 'Freeman Driver' located in 'Sound, Video and Controllers' and select 'Uninstall'.
You can then reboot and try to install it again by simply plugging the headset into the USB port.
