1. ASUS X555LA-XO636H. Windows 10 64bit(was 8.1) Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 WiFi adaptor. Wireless is dropping out every few minutes. Have to restart to get wireless to reconnect.

From your description I understand the issue might due to the incompatible drivers. Try to download the latest compatible drivers on your PC and use any external Storage device to transfer and install them on your Laptop.
